So, only a couple more months before I head off to Bali. It doesn't really seem like a reality yet- I don't think that it has really hit me yet that this time next year I will have lived in Bali for about 10 months! That's so crazy.
I am really enjoying this stage though: the anticipation, preparation and even the stress thats coming along with making all these plans. Things are really falling into place though and that is a huge blessing. It is a lot of fun preparing though; especially starting to learn some things about Bali and some Bahasa Indonesia (The national Indonesian language).
Here are some that I have learned so far...
Terima Kasih - Thank you
Selamat Malam- Good Night
Appa Kabar- Whats the news?
Did you know....
-The island of Bali is so small that it could fit about 117 times in Alberta!
-It is about 5,633 sq. km big, but over 3 million people live on the island.
-Bali is the most affluent of the Indonesian provinces because of the huge tourism industry.
-The main religion in Bali is Balinese Hinduism (93.18%) But other religions on the island include... Islam (4.79%), Christianity (1.38%), and Buddhism (0.64%)
Thanks everyone who has been supporting me this far, please keep thinking about me as I prepare to move and start working with the people there.
-Lindsey
